Lighting for the Greater Good

Our Mission

Manufacture Lighting

for the

Greater Good

Good is the way we approach all things.

First and foremost, our goal is always to provide customers with good products and a good experience. Our team believes in creating quality product and finding the right solution for each individual project. Creating and bringing to market cutting edge lighting products that are environmentally conscious is of utmost importance.

We also recognize the important role we play in being socially conscious with both the products that we produce and how we serve our community and our world. Penn Globe has maintained a very active community and workforce service driven presence in the local Connecticut community and we believe in giving  back to the communities of our customers all over the country whenever possible.

The  Lighting for the Greater Good  Initiative.

Doing good and giving back has always been significant part of culture at our company, but in 2019, we wanted to expand on it beyond our local community. We came together and collectively decided to make it our mission to help communities in the fight against food insecurity. We recognized that there are many common needs to be met, but firmly decided after learning the staggering numbers and data about food insecurity throughout the country.

Today, when a Penn Globe customer places an order, a monetary donation is made to the food bank in the customer’s city or town. Penn Globe estimates that at least fifty food banks annually will receive assistance through the Lighting for the Greater Good program.

Giving Back at Home

We know all about, and truly believe in, the power of community involvement and teamwork. We actively work to make a difference, participate, and lend a hand whenever we are able to different groups, programs, and organizations throughout Connecticut - especially to our local New Haven community. We know the biggest difference we can make is right here at home.

We recognize the importance in educating people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds about the opportunities and potential there is in the local Connecticut manufacturing workforce. We advocate for continuing education, commonsense workplace practices, equality, and support the missions of others trying to do good in the community.
